Sadly for fans, October Games’ multiplayer FPS Puppet Master: The Game, which launched back in 2024 on Steam, is pulling up shop. The developer announced over the weekend that the game and its DLC will be delisted from Steam on February 25. No reason has been given as to why the game is being delisted.
Since its launch, the game has remained free-to-play (supported by paid DLC), and can still be added to your Steam library. After being delisted next month, you can still play the game and its DLC, provided you have added the former to your Steam library, and bought any of the latter before February 25.
“This game has been a huge passion project for our team, and we’re incredibly thankful to everyone who played, streamed, shared feedback, or supported us along the way,” reads a statement from the devteam at October Games. “The community has meant a lot to us, and we truly appreciate all the love you’ve shown the game.”
Last year, October Games had explored the possibility of porting the game to consoles, and had even started a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds. However, the campaign was soon cancelled, as October Games felt that they could not guarantee that they would be able to deliver on what the Kickstarter set out to accomplish.
The devteam had released an update for Puppet Master back in September. Titled the Legacy Update, the update added a new map, tweaks to existing maps, new skins and more.
