Those who have been waiting for Fulqrum Publishing and developer Byte Barrel’s Forgive Me Father 2 to hit consoles won’t have to wait much longer. The Lovecraftian shooter will descend upon PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series on September 23, with the Nintendo Switch release following at a later date.
After its launch on Steam last October, this retro-styled FPS is ready to join its predecessor and bring its unique mix of cosmic horror and intense action to a new audience of console players. You’ll once again step into a world warped by cosmic terror, armed with an arsenal of devastating weapons and divine powers.
Forgive Me Father 2 sees you continue the story of the Priest character from the 2022 original, taking players from war-torn trenches and haunted villas to desecrated cathedrals across 10 dread-inducing new levels, each representing a new nightmare created by the Great Old Ones. These terrors distort the protagonist’s memories and transport the player into an intense fight for survival, where they must investigate to find where the nightmares end and reality begins.
And as in the previous game, the madness system returns, allowing you to unleash absolute mayhem on your foes and gain extraordinary powers as a reward. However, as before, the more insane you become, the stronger your foes. Embrace the insanity, use it to fuel your bizarre new abilities, but do so with caution.
