While you wait for Macon Blair’s The Toxic Avenger to get its Unrated theatrical release on August 29, Bloody Disgusting, Cineverse and the Bloody FM podcast network are excited to announce The Toxic Avenger: St. Roma’s Village, an official podcast expansion!
The Toxic Avenger: St. Roma’s Village is a look into the bleak, bizarre, and hilarious world of The Toxic Avenger, a fresh new take on Troma’s cult classic. Follow along with the daily life of the residents of St. Roma’s Village as they listen to the news, go to work, and seek medical attention… all while a mysterious, radioactive superhero emerges in their daily lives.
These are the stories of decent, hardworking people who just want to feed the hungry, heal the sick, and report the news without anything funny, weird, or gross happening… but unfortunately they live in the same city as a disgusting, freakish superhero determined to stand up for the citizens of St. Roma’s Village.
The limited Toxic Avenger podcast series will feature five episodes created by members of BloodyFM and the Cineverse Podcast Network, and it has officially launched TODAY!
The first episode is now available and new episodes of The Toxic Avenger: St. Roma’s Village will premiere on Tuesdays at 12pm PST on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Pandora, and iHeart. Each episode will also be co-streamed on a Bloody FM podcast, including SCP Archives (July 22), Creepy (July 28), Mayfair Watchers Society (August 4), Scare You to Sleep (August 11), and End of All Hope (August 18).
