Nicolas Cage has been on a horror hot streak with memorable performances in Mandy, Renfield, and Longlegs, and Variety reports that Cage is now in talks for “True Detective“!
Nicolas Cage is “nearing a deal” to star in the upcoming “True Detective” Season 5, which is again being helmed by “Night Country” creator Issa López (Tigers Are Not Afraid).
HBO’s “True Detective” has played host to some of the best actors of our time over the years, including Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in the standout first season, as well as Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Mahershala Ali, and Jodie Foster.
We recently learned that the new season of the hit series will be set in Jamaica Bay, New York, a long way from the chilly Ennis, Alaska setting of “True Detective: Night Country.”
It has been rumored that the fifth season will have three leads, two male and one female, but that has not been confirmed at this time. Stay tuned for more as we learn it.
