WASHOE COUNTY, Nev. (TCN) -- A man was recently convicted of punching his ex-girlfriend multiple times and stabbing her new boyfriend after they returned home from a date.
According to an Aug. 21 news release from the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office, a jury found Moises Duran-Bonilla guilty of battery with the use of a deadly weapon and domestic battery. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 8.
Sparks Police initially arrested Duran-Bonilla in May 2024. The two victims went on a date and returned home to find Duran-Bonilla waiting for them. Prosecutors said he argued with his ex-girlfriend before punching her in the head numerous times and stabbing her new boyfriend three times. Duran-Bonilla fled in his vehicle but was arrested shortly after. He was found with a black folding knife and bloody clothes in his truck.
