Dante and Virgil Square Off in New Season 2 Trailer for ‘Devil May Cry’ Netflix Adaptation [Watch]

With the Netflix Devil May Cry adaptation having secured a second season earlier this year, it was time for us to get a taste of what to expect with the series’ return in the form of a brand new trailer. The trailer in question features Dante (voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch) having a little tête-à-tête with his twin brother Vergil (voiced by Robbie Daymond).

Created by Castlevania showrunner Adi Shankar (who has now announced his intentions for a Duke Nukem adaptation), Devil May Cry first hit Netflix back in April (check out Daniel’s review), and was quickly renewed for a second season. Based on Capcom’s hit video game franchise of the same name, the Netflix adaptation centers around Dante, a half-demon professional demon hunter who finds himself in the middle of an ongoing conflict between the forces of Hell and a mysterious specialized military unit known as DARKCOM.

While the villainous White Rabbit (voiced by Hoon Lee) leads infernal terrorist attacks across Earth, Dante and DARKCOM are forced to work together to uncover the truth behind the demonic attacks, and to ultimately stop them.

Alongside Bosch, Daymond and Lee, the voice cast for the first season includes Scout Taylor-Compton, Chris Coppola, Ian James Corlett and Kevin Conroy.

No release date has been announced for the second season, which is set to premiere in 2026.
